This is a gift certificate I created for a friend. I used the Fun Stampers Journey Pocket Card Die (DI0003), Daisy Flowers stamp set (SS0113) and Daisy Blooms Die set (DI0010) and our wonderful inks in Limeade Splash (IP0009) and Watermelon Fusion (IP0027). I used Journey Foam Squares (AC0084) to pop the flower from the card. I made 2 tags with flowers stamped on the front of both. The gift certificate information was printed on plain printer paper and taped to the back of the tag using White Liner double sided tape (AD0001). The back of the second tag was left blank for a handwritten note. I also used the White Liner double sided tape to tape the left side of the card closed. The twince used on the tags was from my “stash”. Learn more about these wonderful products at http://www.funstampersjourney.com/109.

I made this card using Fun Stampers Journey (FSJ) products. The flowers are from Daisy Flowers (SS-0113 $17.95 set of 7 stamps) and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from (SS-0013 $17.95). The inspiration came from a card created for the Fun Stampers Journey Grand Event held in September 2014. I didn’t have all the product they used so I created my card using what I had on hand. The only 2 items not FSJ except the pin and ribbon used for the bow.
I used Kiwi Slice cardstock (CS-0016-25 sheets for $6.95) to make my card base and 1 of they layers. I then used Sweet Berry cardstock (CS-0034-25 sheets for $6.95) and Hazelnut Blend cardstock (CS-0013-25 sheets for $6.95) to add more layers. The first layer has a decorative edge. The sentiment and flowers were stamped on Whip Cream cardstock (CS-0040-25 sheets for $6.95). The inks used for stamping were Kiwi Slice (IP-0024 $7.95), Hazelnut Blend (IP-0012 $7.95) and Sweet Berry (IP-0029 $7.95).

This card was created using Fun Stampers Journey Products (FSJ). The dress and sentiment are from the Bombshell set which as 9 stamps and sells for 17.95. The background was created using the ATS stamp Damask Print which sells for 7.95. The cardstock is Whipped Cream and Sweet Berry and the ink is Sweet Berry. I used a pink glitter glue from my “stash” to add a little Bling.
1. I cut a piece of 8.5 x 11 Whipped Cream in half to make a 4.25 x 5.5 card. I inked the Damask Print stamp with Sweet Berry and stamped the first image at almost center and then stamped 4 more times randomly near the corners.
2. Using the Bombshell stamp set I stamped the dress using Black Licorice ink on the Sweet Berry cardstock and then “fussy” cut it out. The hanger was a bit tricky and I’m not 100% pleased with it. I also stamped the sentiment with Sweet Berry ink on to the Whipped Cream cardstock.
3. I used the Heart Felt Die set (7 dies) I cut a second heart the next size up from Sweet Berry and used foam tape to pop up the 2 layers. I also used the pink glitter glue on the Sweet Berry heart.
4. I added the pink glitter glue to the belt and flower on the dress and used foam tape to pop up the dress.
5. The inside of the card has the same 2 heart layering using another sentiment from the card.
I created this card using a technique I saw from an email or a You Tube video. I don’t remember if there was a name for it and don’t remember who shared it. I would love to give you credit if it was yours so please let me know. (please excuse my photo, I couldn’t get the crop to work very well for me)
The supplies I used for my card are as follows.
- Fun Stampers Journey Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock
- Fun Stampers Journey Whip Cream
- Fun Stampers Journey Elegant Flowers stamp set
- Spectrum Noir Blending Solution (Gamsol)
- Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils (Floral & Nature Sets)
- Paper Stump
- Paper trimmer with decorative blade
I started out by cutting my 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock in half to make a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card. I used the decorative blade on my paper trimmer on the lower edge of the card to give it a scalloped edge.
In the next step I inked my stamps with Whip Cream and stamped randomly on the front of card, sometimes stamping off the edge. Let the ink dry completely so it won’t smear.
Using the floral set of the blendable pencils I selected a light and a dark color. I colored my image with the light pencil first and then highlighted with the dark pencil. After I finished coloring I put a small amount of blending solution on a paper stump and using a circular motion went over the entire stamped image to blend the colors and remove the pencil lines. I used this process on each of the stamped images. I didn’t color the complete image so some of the Whip Cream ink would show through to add a little dimension.
I will be trying this technique again with other stamp sets. I want to try it with the Christmas Melody stamp set.
